Ravens vs. Bears 2013: Chicago wins at home in overtime against Baltimore

Our SB Nation writers are talking about the Bears’ win over the Ravens.

A batch of rough weather and an overtime period kept Bears fans around a lot longer than expected on Sunday. Still, the outcome of the Week 11 contest against the Ravens ended in a joyous victory for the home crowd. Despite starting backup Josh McCown, the Bears were able to defeat the defending Super Bowl champions with a 23-20 victory in overtime.

The close win was highlighted by the connection of McCown and second-year wide receiver Alshon Jeffery. The former second-round pick was able to compile a total of 100 yards on offense and helped the Bears win the game. On the other side, Ray Rice had his best outing of the year, but it was not enough to win the game.

Jason Butt of Baltimore Beatdown has alluded to the storm delay killing momentum for the Ravens:

It was a bizarre game, given multiple storm cells were coming through the Midwest. After the Ravens jumped out to a 10-0 lead, the game was halted for one hour and 53 minutes due to inclement weather. Before the stoppage in play, the Ravens possessed a great deal of momentum.

Ray Rice had already scored a touchdown and had a 47-yard run in the process, his longest of the season. Justin Tucker had just kicked a field goal with the wind swirling before the referees called for the suspension in play.

Dane Noble of Windy City Gridiron says the Bears are winning despite their injuries:

One thing that should be in the forefront of every single sane Chicago Bears fan: This team is limping along with lots and lots of backups in their starting lineup, including some who wouldn't have even been on the active roster if not for significant injuries.

Just think of all the starters that have gone down due to injury before you judge the performance of this team too harshly...
