With quarterback Jake Locker set to undergo season-ending foot surgery this week, the Tennessee Titans need more arms to fill their roster. The team addressed that issue on Monday by signing free agent John Skelton, according to The Tennessean.
QB John Skelton signs with Titans
The free agent signal caller signed with Tennessee after working out in Nashville Monday morning.

Skelton was expected to sign after vistiting Nashville for the second time this season Monday morning. Skelton also worked out for the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers last week.
The Titans lost Locker to a Lisfranc injury in his foot in Week 10 and have been relying on Ryan Fitzpatrick to lead the offense ever since. Fitzpatrick has played well despite consecutive losses and is expected to retain the starting role, but the team is thin behind him. Former sixth-round pick Rusty Smith was the only other quarterback on the roster and the team has no one to promote from the practice squad.
Skelton was selected by Arizona in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 20 games during his four-year career, completing 53.2 percent of his passes for 15 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.
