Indianapolis Colts outside linebacker Erik Walden will sit out for one week after his Thursday night head-butt of Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker has drawn a one-game suspension from the NFL, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.
Erik Walden suspended 1 game for head-butt on Delanie Walker
Walden received a personal foul penalty for head-butting Delanie Walker without his helmet on Thursday night.

The head-butt (captured here in GIF form) happened shortly after Walker lost his helmet, drawing a 15-yard personal foul penalty. Walker called the head-butt “bush league” after the game and was upset with the fact that Walden wasn’t ejected from the game.
Walden, 28, was signed by the Colts to a four-year deal worth $16 million during the 2013 offseason, but has tallied just two sacks in 10 starts for the team. A sixth-round selection in the 2008 NFL Draft, Walden had short stints with the Cowboys and Chiefs before spending extended time with both the Dolphins and Packers.
The suspension of Walden will likely mean the first career start for Colts first-rounder Bjoern Werner. The rookie has tallied 0.5 sacks in seven games, after missing some time earlier in the year with a foot injury.
