Richie Incognito is currently suspended for his alleged mistreatment of teammate Jonathan Martin, but, according to a report, Martin may not have been the only person inside the locker room Incognito harassed. Incognito and at least one other unnamed player allegedly mocked the ethnic background of a Dolphins team staff member, according to Jason Cole of National Football Post.
Richie Incognito allegedly harassed a Dolphins staffer, per report
More claims against Richie Incognito continue to surface with the latest report alleging Incognito mocked a team staff member.
Citing multiple sources, Cole reported Incognito “would sometimes dress in garb from the staff member’s culture” and made profane jokes about the culture and the staff member’s wife. The antics included Incognito saying the staff member’s wife had sexual relationships with several players.
Incognito’s alleged actions were done in the view of other members of the Dolphins staff, but Incognito was not disciplined by management, per Cole, who noted the failure to monitor the situation could create a legal issue for the Dolphins. The team would be “hard-pressed to claim it was unaware of the workplace environment,” Cole wrote.
According to Cole, the NFL is currently conducting an investigation into the claims.
