The Cincinnati Bengals have reached out to free agent defensive tackle Jay Ratliff, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Ratliff is not expected to sign at this moment, but Rapoport reports the "door is open."
Bengals reached out to Jay Ratliff, per report
The Bengals are looking for defensive tackle help after losing Geno Atkins.

The Bengals need immediate help at defensive tackle after losing Geno Atkins for the season with a torn ACL, but Ratliff still needs a few more weeks to recover from a hamstring injury and sports hernia. Ratliff was released from the Dallas Cowboys after spending eight seasons with the team. He has visited with the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, but has yet to find a new team.
Cincinnati suffered a huge loss with Atkins, who was one of the best defensive tackles in the league and on the way to another All-Pro performance. Atkins finishes his season with six sacks and 20 tackles in eight games. He suffered the injury in Thursday’s overtime loss to the Dolphins.
