Riding a six-game winning streak, the Panthers have surged up the NFC standings and could still come away with a first-round bye. The majority of NFL experts picked Carolina to keep on winning, even with the Panthers going on the road to face a 5-5 Miami team.
The Panthers will enter the game as the No. 5 seed in the NFC, but just one game back in the NFC South race. If Carolina is able to catch the Saints over the final six games, the Panthers could secure a top-two seed and a first-round bye. With New Orleans facing the 2-8 Falcons, the Panthers will likely need a win to keep pace. Five of SB Nation's six NFL experts picked Carolina to win this week, with only David Fucillo taking Miami.

It isn’t just SB Nation’s experts favoring Carolina. All eight of the CBS Sports’ NFL experts picked the Panthers to win. Only one of the eight expects the game to be decided by less than four points, as the other seven picked Carolina to win and cover the 3.5-point spread.
