Cowboys vs. Giants 2013, Week 12: Dallas wins on last-second field goal

Dallas didn’t look like an elite team on Sunday, but it didn’t need to. Blogging the Boys see a victory and a victory, regardless of how it happened. There’s a measure of concern too, as fans wait to see if the Cowboys can put some wins together or regress to the mean -- something that’s happened far too many times in the past.

Feelings in New York aren’t quite so positive. The Giants have a mathematical chance to make the playoffs, but the reality is far less rosy. Big Blue View is wondering whether the team embraces its misfortune in 2013 and channels it into evaluating the team’s young talent.

Update: Dez Bryant has returned to the field for the Cowboys and no mention of the nature of the injury has been reported.

After the play ended, Bryant laid on his back and moved around in pain on the field. He was checked out and limped off on his own power. He hung his head as he jogged to the sideline and immediately headed to the trainer’s table.

The Cowboys already have one win over the Giants, beating them 36-31 in Week 1. The Giants went into a tailspin, but have clawed back into the playoff race at 4-6. The Cowboys have been their usual up-and-down selves, sitting in second place with a 5-5 record.
