Tramaine Brock contract: 49ers CB agrees to 4-year contract, according to report

Brock signed a four-year contract worth $16 million, despite making just one career start for the 49ers.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Tramaine Brock has just one career start and will likely earn a second start on Monday, but the team is confident in his abilities. Confident enough to give the fourth-year cornerback a four-year contract worth $16 million with $7 million guaranteed, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Brock, 25, was signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Belhaven University in 2010 and spent some time on the team's practice squad as a rookie. After earning a place on the roster as a special teamer, Brock made his first career start in Week 5 against the Houston Texans, but has played as a reserve corner for much of the year.

With Tarell Brown out of the lineup with a ribs injury, Brock is expected to make his second career start on Monday night against the Washington Redskins.

Brock has tallied six career interceptions with four coming in 2013, including one returned for a touchdown against the Texans.
