Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald. It's the second straight game he will miss. Pouncey was listed as doubtful and never expected to play.

Pouncey is still dealing with food poisoning and will be out for at least one more week.

Pouncey went into the hospital last week after contracting a severe case of food poisoning. He missed last Sunday's win over the San Diego Chargers with kidney and gallbladder issues. The Dolphins have not given a timetable for his return and he is hoping to recover with medicine and rest. If Pouncey's condition persists, he may require surgery to remove his gallbladder.
Miami's offensive line, already a mess, will be without its best starter again. Pouncey's absence is bad news for a team facing Carolina's dominant defensive line. Ryan Tannehill has been sacked 41 times this season and is on pace to threaten David Carr's record of 76 sacks, which he set in 2002.
