Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas left Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers with an ankle injury and is questionable to return, according to ESPN's Jon Clayton.
Daniel Thomas injury: Dolphins RB ‘questionable’ to return
The Dolphins will be without their most effective running back late in the game.

Thomas was in the open field when defensive back Captain Munnerlyn brought him to the ground. The running back fell awkwardly on his leg, as it folded under his body and he remained on the field for some time before being helped off by trainers.
The Dolphins are locked in a close game with the Carolina Panthers and lead by three points in the fourth quarter. Miami's offense has been unable to move the ball on the ground with Lamar Miller, who has run for just five yards on nine attempts. Up to the injury they offense has been running the ball by committee, and now a lot of pressure is put on second-year quarterback Ryan Tannehill to hold the lead against a Panthers team gaining confidence in the second half.
