Packers vs. Lions 2013 odds: Detroit favored on Thanksgiving
The Thanksgiving battle in Detroit should be a tight one between the Packers and Lions.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports
The Lions will host the Packers on Thanksgiving in the first NFL matchup of the day. The Lions are tied for the NFC North lead with the Bears and a win over the Packers could eliminate Green Bay from the mix. The Packers are still without quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Matt Flynn is his likely replacement on Thursday. With Rodgers out of the game, the Lions are a 7-point favorite, according to OddsShark.
The over/under for this matchup is 50, and the expectation is that this will be the highest-scoring contest of the holiday slate. The two teams parallel each other when considering season averages, with both averaging around 26 points per game, while giving away 24-25 points to opposing teams. However, the Packers have averaged just 17.3 points in the three games since Rodgers have been out of the lineup.
The Lions will host the Packers on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
