NFL odds and lines, Week 13: Patriots vs. Texans 2013

The Patriots are heavy favorites to beat the Texans in Week 13.

The Houston Texans host the New England Patriots in Week 13, and Vegas is not expecting a close one. According to OddsShark, the Patriots are 9-point favorites. The line opened at 3 points in New England's favor, but things quickly shifted after the events of Week 12.

The Patriots got a big win in a wild finish against the Denver Broncos. Thanks to a muffed punt, New England got the 34-31 overtime victory. They were 2-point underdogs and managed to cover by pulling off the upset. The Patriots move to 8-3 on the year and 6-5 against the spread. They are looking to consolidate their lead in the AFC East.

The Texans' season hit a new low after dropping their ninth straight game. They lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 13-6, failing to generate any offense. The Texans were 10.5-point favorites but never came close to covering. They drop to 2-9 in the standings and 2-9 against the spread. Houston's playoff hopes could officially end with another loss.
