Dolphins vs. Jets 2013 picks and predictions: Experts favor New York at home
Experts are picking the New York Jets to hold the Miami Dolphins at home in Week 13.

The battle for second place in the AFC East continues on Sunday when the New York Jets play host to the Miami Dolphins. New York (5-6) is going through some significant struggles on the offensive side of the ball, but they remain in second place within the division. Miami (5-6) has had so many struggles in the locker room it's a wonder to be in this position.
Miami has alternated wins and losses in its last five games, with the most recent being a competitive 20-16 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 12. New York is riding a two-game losing skid and has some significant issues at the quarterback position. Rookie Geno Smith has struggled all season and may not have the starting job for much longer.
When you have two teams in turmoil, the best course of action is usually to go with the home team. Whether or not that’s the motivation for SB Nation’s six NFL experts is unclear, but five of the six are going with the hosting Jets. The lone dissenter is Jason Chilton, who is picking Miami.
Over at CBS Sports, there’s a similar spread among the experts. Six of the experts, including Pete Prisco, Jason La Canfora and Will Brinson, are picking the Jets to win, while two others are picking Miami to win it.
