E.J. Manuel has been cleared to return, the Buffalo Bills announced Monday. Manuel has spent more than four weeks on the sideline with an LCL sprain he suffered on Oct. 3 against the Cleveland Browns. He has yet to be named the starter for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, however. Head coach Doug Marrone will make a determination based on how Manuel performs in practice this week, according to Chris Brown of the Bills' official site.
E.J. Manuel injury: Bills QB cleared to play
E.J. Manuel has been cleared to play this weekend for the Bills. Whether he suits up against the Steelers depends on Doug Marrone.

Manuel started his rookie season relatively well before leaving after just five appearances. On the season, he is 85-for-150 for 985 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions.
The injury, which Manuel suffered on a first down scramble, left the Bills searching for a quarterback. Jeff Tuel struggled after taking over for Manuel against the Browns, so the Bills hit free agency and signed Thad Lewis. The second-year QB from Duke was more than serviceable, going 62-for-103 for 652 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in three games. He sat out Sunday due to a rib injury, and Tuel had another poor outing as the starter in Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
There is no word yet on Lewis’ Week 10 status, but if he can’t play then Manuel stands a good chance of suiting up against the Steelers.
