The Seattle Seahawks still haven't had any contributions from wide receiver Percy Harvin since trading for him during the offseason, but he might join the team on the field soon. Head coach Pete Carroll said on Friday that he expects Harvin to join the team at practice next week.

Harvin has been unable to contribute so far in 2013, after undergoing surgery earlier in the offseason.


Harvin, 25, suffered a hip injury during the offseason that required surgery to repair and has remained on the physically unable to perform list for the entire 2013 season, although he’s eligible to be added to the active roster at any time.

In four seasons with the Vikings, Harvin accumulated 280 receptions for 3,302 yards and 20 touchdowns, as well as 683 yards rushing and four touchdowns on the ground. He also tallied 3,183 kick return yards and five return touchdowns.
Seattle ranks 10th in the NFL in points scored, but is currently 27th in passing yards.
