NFL news roundup: Rob Gronkowski placed on injured reserve; Rashad Jennings cleared

The Chicago Bears are alive and well in the NFC North.

After the Lions lost to the Eagles on Sunday, the Bears needed a win on Monday Night Football against the Cowboys to draw even for the division lead. The Lions do have the tie-breaker, but both teams now have 7-6 records, so things could get interesting down the stretch.

Xavier Rhodes could miss a few weeks with a ankle injury

Vikings rookie cornerback Xavier Rhodes could miss a few weeks after spraining his ankle in a loss to the Ravens. He had been playing better as of late, but he has dealt with minor injuries throughout the season. Depending on the severity of this injury, Rhodes' season could be over.

Rob Gronkowski has torn ACL and MCL

Rob Gronkowski's knee injury was even more severe than initially feared. The Patriots' tore his ACL and MCL on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. He was placed on injured reserve on Monday, and another summer of Gronkowski injury watch is on the horizon.

Rashad Jennings passes concussion test

Raiders running back Rashad Jennings passed his concussion test on Monday and has a chance to return to Oakland's lineup in Week 15 against Kansas City. Jennings suffered the concussion in Week 13 against the Ravens and missed the team's game against the Jets.
