Aaron Rodgers injury: Packers QB looking unlikely to play vs. Dallas

The Packers star quarterback does not appear to be starting against the Cowboys in a crucial contest.

The Green Bay Packers do not believe that their franchise quarterback will be able to play against the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday at AT&T Stadium, according to Ed Werder.

Aaron Rodgers, who has been nursing a broken collarbone for the past seven weeks, has not yet been medically cleared to play by the team doctors. The injury was originally thought to be a 4-6 week issue, but is now spilling past that timetable. Now, any action before the 8-week mark is thought to be unlikely.

Without Rodgers, the Packers have gone 1-4-1 with the trio of Seneca Wallace, Scott Tolzien and Matt Flynn getting starts. Flynn won the only game out of the group, beating the Atlanta Falcons 22-21 last Sunday to keep playoff hopes alive.

Green Bay is only a half-game behind the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears for the NFC North crown and a likely No. 4 seed in the NFC playoffs.
