NFL odds and lines, Eagles vs. Vikings 2013: Philadelphia favored on the road

The Philadelphia Eagles are favored to best the Minnesota Vikings on the road in Week 15.

The Philadelphia Eagles are set to take on the Minnesota Vikings in a Week 15 matchup on Sunday. Both teams feature excellent running games, and both teams have had spotty quarterback play at some point this season. The difference is that the Eagles seem to have found their man in Nick Foles, and sit at 8-5 on the season.

Minnesota, on the other hand, has Christian Ponder leading the way, and has won just three games this season. The Vikings are going nowhere fast with Ponder, who will almost certainly not be the starter heading into next season. Matt Cassel and Josh Freeman are clearly not the answers, either.

That’s why it’s unsurprising to see the Eagles, who hold the top spot in the NFC East and a spot in the playoffs, presently, favored to win this matchup. The Eagles opened as 2.5-point favorites for this game, though the line has only moved further in their favor, according to OddsShark.

Despite the Eagles playing the matchup on the road, the Eagles could be had favored by as much as six points at one point in the week. The over/under for the matchup is right around 51 points. That total has gone under in five of Philadelphia’s last seven games and over in four of Minnesota’s last five.
