NFL picks and predictions, Jets vs. Panthers 2013: Experts not giving the Jets a chance

The Panthers are the consensus favorites to get back in the win column against the Jets.

The Panthers are big favorites to get back on the winning track against the New York Jets on Sunday. Carolina's eight-game winning streak was snapped last week by the New Orleans Saints, but they remain in good shape to earn a playoff spot.

Expert picks: SB Nation's panel breaks down Week 15

Carolina could clinch a place in the postseason this weekend but they'll some help. First the Panthers need to win, then they'll need Arizona and San Francisco to both lose along with a loss by the Cowboys or Eagles. So it's not impossible but it may not happen quite yet.

Our experts at SB Nation are all convinced that the Panthers will get their 11th win of the season in large part due to its defense, which is ranked 2nd in the NFL. They’ll be going up against a Jets offense ranked 30th in the league. Those numbers don’t look great for the Jets, though they are 3-0 against the NFC South this season.

The experts over at CBS Sports seem to believe that the Panthers are a good bet for a win as every single one of their experts picked Carolina.
