Aaron Rodgers injury: Packers QB continues to do more in practice, still awaits clearance

Green Bay will likely find out on Friday if their star quarterback will return this week against the Cowboys.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was limited in practice on Thursday and head coach Mike McCarthy said he would be re-evaluated by the medical staff on Friday, according to Packers.com's Vic Ketchman. That will likely determine whether or not Rodgers can return to action on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Rodgers has missed the last five games with a fractured collarbone and the Packers are 1-3-1 without him.

Injured early in Green Bay's Week 9 loss to the Chicago Bears, Rodgers has been sidelined ever since. He has had to watch three other quarterbacks start in his place over the last five games. The Packers started Seneca Wallace in the week following Rodgers' injury, but Wallace went on injured reserve with a groin injury. Undrafted free agent Scott Tolzien started the next two games but he was replaced by free agent signee Matt Flynn.

Green Bay beat the Atlanta Falcons 22-21 last Sunday, their first win without Rodgers. They currently stand at 6-6-1, just a half-game out of first place in the NFC North. Rodgers has 15 touchdowns and four interceptions in his eight games this season.
