After a 5-8 start to the season, New York Giants fans are beginning to lose patience with the team and head coach Tom Coughlin, who has been with the team for 10 seasons.
Lawrence Taylor says Tom Coughlin should go, Giants need ‘shake-up’
Two years removed from their Super Bowl victory, New York is 5-8.

One of the more outspoken people on the topic is former Giants legend Lawrence Taylor, who told the New York Post that he thinks it is time for Coughlin to step down.
“Tom Coughlin has done wonders for the Giants. Personally, I don’t know if I could play for him, but the guy is a winner, he is a fighter. But I think it is time for him to take his talents on the road,” Taylor told The Post Saturday night at the David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic. “He’s done all he can do for the Giants. If he wants to coach, I think he needs to take his philosophies to another team.”
The Giants have already been eliminated from playoff contention -- the fourth time in the last five years they will miss postseason play. The one year they did was highly successful, winning Super Bowl XLVI after the 2011 season. It was the team's second Super Bowl win under Coughlin, and the fourth in team history.
