NFC West injury report, Week 15: Larry Fitzgerald has a concussion

Week 16 will be a pivotal week for a few teams in the NFC West and at least a couple of notable names could be impacted by injuries.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

It was a good day for the NFC West on Sunday with all four teams winning. Three of the four remain in the playoff chase, setting up some important Week 16 matchups. For the most part, the teams escaped Week 15 without major injury, although one Pro Bowler will need to pass through NFL protocol before returning to the field.

Here is a look at the latest injury news from around the NFC West.

Arizona:

Arizona won in overtime, but suffered a few injuries in the process. Larry Fitzgerald suffered a concussion late in the game, although his dad tweeted that Fitzgerald passed concussion tests and "feels good." Fitzgerald will have to go through NFL protocol before being cleared to play. Quarterback Carson Palmer suffered a low ankle sprain during the game, but played through the injury. He'll likely play this week against Seattle, as will Andre Ellington despite a thigh injury. Rashad Johnson's status is less clear after he suffered a high ankle sprain.

San Francisco:

Bruce Miller left the game on Sunday with an arm injury and Jim Harbaugh said the injury "doesn't look good." An X-ray revealed a scapula injury. The 49ers are expected to re-sign fullback Owen Marecic and Harbaugh said running back Anthony Dixon could see some time at fullback.

Seattle:

Seattle made it through the week without suffering any significant injures, so the attention returns to the players on the mend. Pete Carroll said the team will wait and see what Percy Harvin and Brandon Browner are able to do in practice before knowing if they can play this week. Harvin continues to deal with pain in his hip, while Browner is dealing with a groin injury. Carroll said linebacker K.J. Wright's foot surgery went well and he could be running in four to five weeks.

St. Louis:

Running back Zac Stacy suffered a hip injury during the first drive on Sunday. Although he was able to return and finish the game, his status for this Week 16 is in question. Jeff Fisher said Stacy is unlikely to practice on Wednesday. Tavon Austin has a chance to return this week after sitting out on Sunday with an ankle injury.
