A late season playoff push by the Dolphins gets derailed in Buffalo.
Dolphins vs. Bills: Fan Reaction

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY SportsFor Miami, this was a huge letdown after a three-game winning streak. The team seemed destined for a playoff spot but now seems to be in a dog fight for the last spot in the AFC. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was injured during the game and backup Matt Moore had to finish the contest with limited success. The Dolphins have to win in Week 17 to have any shot at the postseason.
Brian Galliford of Buffalo Rumblings is excited about the defense, despite not making the playoffs this season:

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports“Of course you shouldn’t throw a punch in a football game, but if you’re playing outside the rules, sometimes you got to be a man sometimes,” Woods said. “But I learned my lesson and just can’t do it again.”
Woods threw an uppercut at the helmeted head of Dolphins safety Reshad Jones after the two became entangled at the end of a running play. The rookie receiver was immediately ejected from the game and made matters worse by getting into a verbal confrontation with an official on his way off the field.

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY SportsBuffalo is simply playing out the string at 5-9. The Bills are putting their fans through another tough season, not having made the postseason since 1999. It’s the longest such streak in the NFL, mostly due to bad personnel decisions.
Miami is not the most explosive offensive team in the world, but they get the job done. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is quietly putting together a nice campaign in his second season, throwing for 3,627 yards, 23 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The picks are a bit high, but Tannehill has been under constant pressure.

Al MesserschmidtMost experts picking Miami over Buffalo

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY SportThe Dolphins are a popular pick among SB Nation’s experts with four of the six picking Miami to win. The Dolphins were in the midst of a four-game losing streak when they played Buffalo earlier this season, but enter the game this week riding a three-game winning streak. Stephen White and David Fucillo picked Buffalo.
The NFL experts at CBS Sports also slightly favor the Dolphins with five picking Miami and three picking Buffalo. Jason La Canfora, Will Brinson and Ryan Wilson picked the Bills. All eight made the same picks when factoring in Miami as a 2.5-point favorite. John Breech picked Miami to win and cover the spread, but not by much. He predicted a 24-20 Dolphins win.
