Dolphins vs. Bills 2013 final score: Miami’s playoff chances take a hit with ugly 19-0 loss

Miami’s playoff push could have been undone with an ugly offensive performance on Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins' playoff hopes are in serious jeopardy after the team laid an egg in a 19-0 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

The Dolphins offense put up just 103 total yards as they wasted an opportunity to move into the last AFC wild-card spot. At 8-7, they are now a half-game behind the Ravens for the wild card. They'll have to hope the Ravens lose against the Patriots on Sunday afternoon to stay alive.

Miami had just six first downs and only 14 rushing yards during the game. The Bills defensive front was relentless, piling up seven sacks of Ryan Tannehill. Kyle Williams and Nickell Robey each had a pair of sacks.

Williams’ second sack knocked Tannehill out of the game with a knee injury temporarily during the fourth quarter. Tannehill returned after Matt Moore threw two picks in his absence. Tannehill finished 10-of-27 for just 82 yards.

Buffalo broke the game open early in the second quarter when Fred Jackson lumbered into the end zone on a 9-yard run to make it 10-0. The remainder of the game's points all came from the leg of Dan Carpenter, who booted four field goals.

Fantasy studs and duds

Miami was a fantasy wasteland for owners during a critical championship week. Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas combined for just 17 yards from scrimmage and Mike Wallace had only 38 yards receiving.

Jackson put up good numbers, running for 111 yards and a touchdown. Robert Woods led the Bills with 70 receiving yards.

Did they cover?

The Bills entered the game as 1-point favorites, according to OddsShark.com, so they easily covered.
