Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco will look a little different on Sunday.
Joe Flacco injury: Ravens QB will wear knee brace vs. Patriots
Baltimore’s signal-caller will be looking a tad bulky but well-protected on Sunday afternoon.
The Super Bowl champion will be sporting a knee brace on his left leg after spraining his MCL against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, according to the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson.
The injury was sustained late in the fourth quarter when Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy broke through Baltimore's line and hit his helmet on Flacco's knee, causing it to bend inward. Flacco was in obvious pain but was able to drive Baltimore into position for Justin Tucker's game-winning 61-yard field goal.
Flacco has proven to be very durable throughout his six-year career, never missing a game. The Delaware University product has been struggling at times this year, throwing 18 touchdowns against 17 interceptions. He is trying to lead his Ravens back into the playoffs, which he can do with two wins over the final two weeks.
