NFL picks and predictions, Raiders vs. Chargers 2013: Oakland looks to upset San Diego
NFL experts are making their picks for Week 16’s contest between Raiders and Chargers.
The Chargers will host the Raiders on Sunday in San Diego. San Diego is coming off a major win over the Broncos and is still in the thick of the wild card race. A win against the Raiders would go a long way towards keeping their postseason hopes alive. Oakland has suffered a bit of a free fall after a few impressive performances, and the Raiders have the role of spoiler to play. Facing a division rival should make this matchup more meaningful.
Expert picks: SB Nation's panel breaks down Week 16
The Chargers are listed as a 10.5-point favorite by CBS Sports. For three of the five CBS Sports panel members, the spread is far too large. However, when picking straight up, the entire crew went with the Chargers for Sunday’s game. The two-man panel on Showtime’s “Inside The NFL” is a clean sweep with Cris Collinsworth and Phil Simms picking San Diego.
SB Nation’s six-man panel voted 5-1 in favor of the Chargers. Former NFL defensive end Stephen White was the only panelist to pick the Raiders.
