Rob Owens, a 22-year-old Ravens fan, ran into the Ravens quarterback at a 7-Eleven in Maryland purchasing a ticket for the Mega Millions, which he has been trying his hand at since he was 18.
Carl Nicks has played in just two games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013 since contracting MRSA during training camp and will reportedly miss the last two games of the year, as well. The guard signed a five-year, $47.5 million contract during the 2012, which made him the highest paid offensive lineman in the league. In his absence, the Buccaneers' interior offensive line has struggled to get much push.
A concussion suffered by Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker in Week 14 has kept the diminutive playmaker out of the lineup and will reportedly keep him out until the postseason. The Broncos have already clinched a spot in the playoffs and expect to see Welker again, but the team hasn't yet clinched an extra week of rest for the receiver -- they are currently tied with the Chiefs for the best record in the AFC. The Broncos finish their season with a two-game road trip against the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders.
