Maurice Jones-Drew injury update: Jaguars RB will likely play vs. Titans

The running back is listed as questionable with an injury.

Editor’s Update: Maurice Jones-Drew is ACTIVE.

Jacksonville will look to continue its hot second half of the season Sunday against Tennessee, and will likely do it with starting running back Maurice Jones-Drew. He is expected to play after being listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, Adam Schefter is reporting.

Jones-Drew has not had a great 2013 season, averaging just 3.5 yards per carry (a career low) with five touchdowns in 13 games. His 55.3 yards per game average is the lowest in his career since 2008.

The running back missed the Jaguars' last game, a loss to Buffalo with an injury, and Jordan Todman took over as the starter. Todman ran 25 times for 109 yards and could see serious time against the Titans -- especially depending on the severity of Jones-Drew's injury. It was Todman's first career game with more than 11 carries (and second with more than seven), and the Jaguars could look to get him some more experience.
