The Baltimore Ravens are planning to extend starting left tackle Eugene Monroe's contract, leaving starting right tackle Michael Oher's place with the team seriously in question, CBS Sports's Jason La Canfora is reporting.

The Ravens are hoping to extend starting left tackle Eugene Monroe, leaving Oher’s future in doubt.

The Ravens acquired Monroe from the Jaguars in early October for a fourth- and fifth-round draft pick, and he has since started nine straight games at left tackle. Oher has started every game for the Ravens since being drafted out of Ole Miss in 2009, but has struggled with penalties and could see his career with the team end. If Oher heads elsewhere, the Ravens could move guard Kelechi Osemele to right tackle.
Both Oher and Monroe were first-round draft picks, and the Ravens have gone 5-2 since their new left tackle was brought into the fold. The Ravens are currently one game back of the Bengals in the AFC North at 8-6, but control their own playoff destiny with games against New England and Cincinnati remaining on the schedule.
