Buccaneers vs. Rams 2013 results: St. Louis defense smothers Tampa in 23-13 win
The Rams got another strong defensive effort on Sunday, getting three more sacks from Robert Quinn in a 23-13 victory.
The Buccaneers drew first blood with a three-yard touchdown run by Bobby Rainey, but the Rams didn't stay down for long. Zac Stacy got his seventh touchdown of the year to tie things up, and the Rams used some trickery to take the lead. They ran a double reverse with Stedman Bailey, who took it to the house for his first career touchdown. Things were quiet for much of the second quarter until Rian Lindell hit a 35-yard field goal at the end of the first half. The Rams went into halftime leading, 14-10.
It became a defensive struggle in the second half, with neither team able to find the end zone. Greg Zuerlein hit three field goals to give the Rams a 10-point lead, and their defense did the rest of the work, holding the Bucs to just 170 total yards and sacking Mike Glennon seven times. Robert Quinn got three more sacks, adding to his Defensive Player of the Year resume. He's now up to 17 sacks on the season.
