The Denver Broncos clinched the AFC West on Sunday with a win over the Houston Texans, but at the cost of their top pass rusher. They'll have to make it through the postseason without Von Miller after a Monday morning MRI revealed the linebacker has a torn ACL, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

Miller will miss the Broncos’ playoff run after an MRI revealed a severe knee injury on Monday.

Rumors of the impending prognosis were have been floating round since Sunday evening, and the fact that the injury occurred without any real contact to the knee made the grim outcome more likely. Miller was fighting off a block during Denver’s 37-14 win when the leg buckled.
The injury ends a disappointing 2013 for the two-time Pro Bowler, who began the season with a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. He finishes with 34 tackles, five sacks and three forced fumbles in nine games.
It’s been an odd year for the Denver defense, which at one point this offseason had two of the league’s top pass rushers in Miller and Elvis Dumervil. Dumervil ended up in Baltimore after a bizarre fax snaffu in March resulted in him missing a contract deadline. Miller’s suspension was handed down five months later after he failed and attempted to cover up the results of a drug test.
Now the Broncos head into the playoffs without either.
