NFL power rankings 2013, Week 14: Seahawks are consensus best

A 34-7 dismantling of the Saints was enough to convince experts that the Seahawks are the best team in the NFL.

The Seattle Seahawks had a much anticipated matchup against the 9-2 New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football and managed to make the game thoroughly uninteresting by dismantling the No. 2 seeded team in the NFC, 34-7. The victory ended any remaining doubt about Seattle’s supremacy in the NFC and convinced the experts that they are the best team in the rest of the NFL as well.

Behind the Seahawks, the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots each split No. 2 rankings and stayed very close in the composite scores, although the Broncos came out on top as the second best team in the NFL.

At the bottom of the rankings, the Houston Texans remain in the bottom spot. Unlike last week though, they are now the unanimous worst team, as a hot streak pulled the Jacksonville Jaguars out of the bottom spot and supplanted them with the Texans, who now have the NFL’s worst record and a 10-game losing streak.
