Johnny Manziel, Mike Evans will enter NFL Draft, per report

Two of the largest Aggie stars will take their talents to the NFL this spring.

The Texas A&M Aggies are taking on the Duke Blue Devils in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl on Tuesday night. The game also will double as the collegiate swan song for quarterback Johnny Manziel and wide receiver Mike Evans, according to Gil Brandt.

Both are expected to be selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft this May, joining left tackle Jake Matthews as highly touted Aggies. Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, has been the largest lightning rod in college.

Texas native Manziel has been a controversial figure throughout his time at A&M, with an NCAA investigation and half-game suspension to begin 2013. However, Manziel put together an excellent season for Texas A&M, throwing for 3,732 yards and rushing for 686 yards to lead the team.

Evans is also pacing the Aggies with 1,322 yards and 12 touchdowns on 65 receptions. At 6’5” and 225 pounds, Evans is a big-bodied receiver who can create separation with physicality more than pure speed.
