Yankey, a two-time All-American considered to be a first-rounder, announced his decision through a school press release.

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY SportsArizona’s Ka’Deem Carey, considered by many experts to be the top running prospect of this year’s draft class, is heading to the NFL, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.
The junior reportedly received grades from at least two teams that projected him as a first-round selection. He did not crack the first round in SB Nation’s latest mock draft and is projected as a second-rounder at CBS Sports, though they rank him as the top overall running back prospect.

Chris GraythenHill is the seventh-best back eligible to come out for this class according to the rankings of SB Nation’s Dan Kadar, likely slotting him in as a mid-round draft pick. The former Tigers star has size on his side, coming in at 6’2” and 235 pounds.
The Baton Rouge, La,, native had a strong sophomore season in 2013 at LSU, rushing for 1,401 yards and 16 touchdowns on 6.9 yards per carry. He also can catch the ball a bit, registering 18 receptions for 181 yards. Those stats are what propelled Hill to forgo his final two seasons of eligibility to take his chances in the draft.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY SportsFreeman ran for 73 yards and a touchdown against Auburn in the Vizio BCS National Championship game, becoming the Seminoles’ first 1,000-yard rusher since 1996 in the process. He finished the season with 1,016 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground and was a first-team All-ACC selection.
The NFL Draft Advisory Board graded Freeman as a third-round selection, according to NFL.com. He has good quickness to the corner but lacks elite straight-line speed. His ability to handle a heavy workload is also a concern -- Freeman had at least 15 carries just eight times during his career -- though his light use in college also means he’ll have fresh legs when he hits the pros.

Jeff GrossAuburn running back Tre Mason, who rushed for 195 yards in the Tigers’ 34-31 loss in the BCS title game against Florida State, announced on Thursday that he will enter the 2014 NFL Draft. Mason, who broke Bo Jackson’s single-season school rushing record by running for 1,816 yards this season, said he received a third round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, and that was apparently high enough for him to forgo his senior season.
The 5’10, 205-pound junior is ranked 13th among running backs in Mocking the Draft’s 2014 NFL Draft rankings.

While Clinton-Dix’s declaration has been expected, Kouandjio said as recently as last week that he was “50-50” on returning to school. The six-foot-five, 350-pound lineman had a rough night during Alabama’s Sugar Bowl loss to Oklahoma, repeatedly getting burned by the Sooners’ speed rush. That’s not expected to affect his draft stock significantly, as both he and Clinton-Dix are considered potential first-rounders. Kouandijo is projected to go in the middle of the first round and is rated the No. 2 offensive tackle by SB Nation.

Ronald MartinezManziel dazzled his way to a Heisman Trophy as a redshirt freshman at Texas A&M in 2012, when he passed for 3,706 yards and rushed for 1,410 yards while accounting for 47 total touchdowns. Manziel’s numbers were nearly as impressive during his sophomore season. He improved as a passer, completing 69.9 percent of his passes for 4,114 yards, 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. His rushing totals dipped a bit, though 759 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground were good enough to earn him a spot as a 2013 Heisman finalist.

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY SportsReaves, the school’s third-highest all-time rusher, declared for the draft on Monday. He was given between a fourth and seventh-round draft projection by the NFL Advisory committee and is unranked in SB Nation’s list of running back prospects.
“This was a very difficult decision,” said Reaves. “I prayed a lot, and I discussed it with family a lot. When I went to church yesterday, the pastor talked about starting new adventures and taking the next step in life’s journey. That sermon really resonated with me. It helped confirm for me that I’m ready for the next stage of my career.”

At his size, Powell will become an outside linebacker full-time in the NFL for whatever team drafts him. Considering his skill set as a pass rusher, teams that play the 3-4 defensive scheme will likely be his primary suitors.

Matt Cashore-USA TODAY SportsTuitt, a massive 6-foot-6, 322-pound lineman known for his surprising athleticism, is considered by experts as a first-round pick, though Irish coach Brian Kelly said before the Pinstripe Bowl that Tuitt received a second-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board. SB Nation ranks him the No. 3 defensive end in the upcoming draft class.
The junior told SI.com that draft projections played no role in his decision.

Andy LyonsBishop Sankey headed to the NFL

Thearon W. HendersonSankey rushed for 1,870 yards during his junior season, averaging 5.7 yards per carry. He was the focal point of Washington’s offense, carrying 327 times. The workload played a role in his decision to enter the draft.
“The time is right,” Sankey said, via Joe Schad. “I’ve proven what I needed to prove. I have to look at the position I play and the number of carries.”

However, Manziel put together an excellent season for Texas A&M, throwing for 3,732 yards and rushing for 686 yards to lead the team.
Evans is also pacing the Aggies with 1,322 yards and 12 touchdowns on 65 receptions. At 6’5” and 225 pounds, Evans is a big-bodied receiver who can create separation with physicality more than pure speed.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY SportsBibbs excelled in head coach Jim McElwain’s pro-style system, leading the nation with 31 rushing touchdowns and averaging 6.2 yards per carry this season. A junior college transfer, the sophomore set the Colorado State single-season records for rushing touchdowns, total touchdowns, points and sophomore rushing yards in his only season with the Rams.
Our own Mocking the Draft does not have any running backs selected in the first round, and the lack of perceived elite talent at the position makes the opportunity ripe for Bibbs to try and latch on with a team.

Smith completed 62.7 percent of his passes last season, averaging 7.2 yards per attempt while tossing 29 touchdowns. The 6’3, 206-pound Smith was a three-year starter for the Cowboys. Originally from Salem, Ore., his journey to the NFL was different than most early-entrants. Ranked as a 2-star prospect by most recruiting services, Smith didn’t garner many offers coming out of high school. He reportedly received offers from San Jose State, New Mexico State and Eastern Washington in addition to Wyoming. He originally committed to SJSU before switching to the Cowboys.

He finished the season with 20.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks after collecting 13.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks as a sophomore. Lawrence has the NFL skill set to match his college production, too. Despite being a bit light, Lawrence has the length and aggressive hands to keep blockers out of his body. He’s also a high-energy player.
In Mocking the Draft’s latest positional rankings for the 2014 NFL Draft, Lawrence came in as the No. 12 defensive end. He could also be a fit in a 3-4 defense as an outside linebacker given his change of direction ability. At this point, Lawrence has a strong chance to come off the board on the second night of the NFL Draft, but don’t be surprised if he’s a hot name throughout the pre-draft process.

William ManceboMurphy, who stands 6’4 tall and weighs 252 pounds, only played in eight games this season for Utah because of a wrist injury. He caught 25 passes for 417 yards and five touchdowns. While his decision may come as a bit of a surprise, Murphy is married with a young daughter and mentioned his family as one of the main reasons for ending his college career early.
“This has been a really tough decision for me to make and one that I do not take lightly,” Murphy said in a statement released by Utah. “In the end, I had to make the choice that was best for my family -- my wife and my daughter. Although I will miss playing college football, I am very confident in my abilities and ready to pursue my dream of playing in the NFL.”

Ezra ShawThe junior was second on the team with 78 tackles this season, and had six passes broken up with three interceptions. Last season, he had four interceptions and 16 passes broken up (with six fumbles forced), and was named first-team Pac-12 all-conference for each of those two seasons.
