Clemson Tigers wide receiver Sammy Watkins will enter the 2014 NFL draft, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.

Watkins leaves Clemson with over 3,000 receiving yards in three years, including 1,464 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2013. He will forego his final year of eligibility to enter the draft, where he will likely be the first receiver selected in May.

Dan Kadar of Mocking the Draft currently has Watkins as the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2014 class. He has size similar to that of New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, but Kadar has a slightly different analysis of how Watkins projects in the NFL:

Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins is the game's best player. He's like a bigger version of Percy Harvin, a dangerous proposition. Watkins can work the slot or the outside and gets used on special teams and is a spectacular playmaker.

A multi-faceted playmaker is something teams around the league are looking for, and why Watkins will likely hear his name announced in the first 10 picks. The latest mock draft from Kadar has Watkins pairing with Josh Gordon in Cleveland to form a formidable receiving tandem for the Browns.
