Alabama’s Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Cyrus Kouandjio will enter 2014 NFL Draft, per report

The Crimson Tide is losing two of it’s top underclassman to the pros.

First Alabama loses its last two games of the season. Now it’s losing two of its best underclassman.

Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio will declare for the 2014 NFL Draft, according to ESPN's Joe Schad and Alex Scarborough.

While Clinton-Dix’s declaration has been expected, Kouandjio said as recently as last week that he was “50-50” on returning to school. The six-foot-five, 350-pound lineman had a rough night during Alabama’s Sugar Bowl loss to Oklahoma, repeatedly getting burned by the Sooners’ speed rush. That’s not expected to affect his draft stock significantly, as both he and Clinton-Dix are considered potential first-rounders. Kouandijo is projected to go in the middle of the first round and is rated the No. 2 offensive tackle by SB Nation.

SB Nation ranks Clinton-Dix as the top safety prospect in the draft and has him projected as the No. 14 pick to the Chicago Bears in the latest mock. The junior had 59 tackles and two interceptions this season.

Not that Bama fans should be concerned about a talent drop-off. The Crimson Tide is in position to finish with a third-consecutive No. 1 draft class by ESPN and is the only school to finish in the top three of those rankings every year since 2008.
