Browns rumors: Seahawks DC Dan Quinn garners team’s interest

The Cleveland Browns have said they will "immediately" begin their search for a head coach to replace Rob Chudzinski, and that hunt looks as though it will begin with Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, whom they have requested to interview, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Quinn, 43, was hired to the position in January to fill the vacancy left by Gus Bradley, who left to become the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Quinn previously served as the defensive line coach of the Seahawks in 2009 and 2010 before accepting a defensive coordinator position with the Florida Gators, where he coached in 2011 and 2012.

He previously had NFL coaching experience as a defensive line coach for the Jets, Dolphins and 49ers. In his first season with the Seahawks, Quinn's defense finished with the NFL's top-ranked defense both in terms of points and yardage allowed.
