Falcons vs. Packers 2013 picks and predictions: Experts favoring Atlanta

Green Bay hasn’t won since Week 8 and the majority of experts are predicting another loss this week.

The Packers are yet to win without Aaron Rodgers and have sunk to 5-6-1 after a 5-2 start. Green Bay is still on the fringe of playoff contention, however, but would need to win this week against the Falcons. With Rodgers' status for the game still up in the air and Matt Flynn likely to start, NFL experts are actually leaning slightly toward the Falcons.

The 3-9 Falcons have also dealt with their share of injuries, but are coming off a 34-31 win against Buffalo. A year ago, this game could have been a NFC Championship matchup, now it barely has playoff implications. With Rodgers unlikely to play, SB Nation's six NFL experts favor Atlanta with four of the six picking the Falcons.

CBS Sports’ NFL experts also slightly favor the Falcons with five of the eight predicting Atlanta to win. Green Bay is a 2.5-point favorite and things shift even further into Atlanta’s direction when the point spread is factored in. When picking against the spread, only two of the eight picked Green Bay.

John Breech picked Atlanta both straight up and against the spread, but he also predicted a close game. If Rodgers does not play, Breech picked the Falcons to win 20-17, but said that pick would switch to Green Bay if Rodgers plays.
