The Philadelphia Eagles are narrow favorites over the Detroit Lions for their Week 14 matchup.

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports
The Detroit Lions are set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a Week 14 matchup on Sunday. Detroit (7-5) leads the NFC North and is coming off a dominating victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 13. Philadelphia (7-5) leads the NFC East and has won its last four consecutive games.
Detroit's lead in the NFC North is solid, but the Chicago Bears (6-5) and Packers (5-6) are not so far behind that things can't change before the season is over. Philadelphia is contested in the NFC East, as the Dallas Cowboys share the lead at 7-5. The New York Giants are in third at 5-7, while the Washington Redskins are out of the running at 3-9.
Either way, it’s the Eagles who are favored to win this week’s game. The Eagles opened as narrow 2-point favorites, but the line began moving in their favor throughout the week, according to OddsShark. Early on, the Eagles could be had favored by as much as 3 points.
These two teams are probably closer to equal in the eyes of the odds makers, but the game being played in Philadelphia tips the scales slightly. The over/under for the matchup is set at a high 54 points. That total has gone over in 16 of Detroit’s last 24 games on the road, but under in four of Detroit’s last six on the road. It’s also gone over in five of Detroit’s last seven games, and under in five of Philadelphia last six. Are you confused yet?
