NFL injury report, Week 14: Adrian Peterson, Reggie Bush expected to play

Adrian Peterson and Reggie Bush are both listed as questionable, but it would be surprising if either sat out in Week 14.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

It's the fantasy playoffs for many, and that can mean rolling the dice on some injured players, particularly at the running back position. Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is one player who is hard to sit for any occasion, but fantasy owners can likely rest easy with starting him in Week 14, despite his questionable status for Sunday.

While a groin injury kept Peterson limited in practice on Friday, he is expected to play on Sunday against a Baltimore Ravens defense that has some injuries of its own. Outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil is doubtful, and cornerback Ladarius Webb is questionable, among other injuries.

In other running back news, the Oakland Raiders could be down to the third string, as Darren McFadden is again listed as out and backup Rashad Jennings still hasn't been cleared to return from a concussion, although he is listed as questionable. That could mean fullback Marcel Reece gets the majority of the carries against the stout New York Jets run defense.

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush is also listed as questionable, but his chances of returning are good after missing Wednesday and Thursday practices with a calf injury.

Things also look positive for Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson after he practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday. Bucs head coach Greg Schiano told reporters he is "cautiously optimistic" that they'll have the contribution of the veteran receiver on Sunday.

The status of cornerback Aqib Talib and wide receiver Danny Amendola of the New England Patriots isn't as certain, and both are considered game-time decisions. While both players practiced all week, their statuses are still considered very much up in the air.

There's no uncertainty for Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin, who will miss yet another game on Sunday. After making his season debut with the Seahawks in Week 12, Harvin suffered another setback with his hip and has officially been ruled out against the 49ers.

Also out is Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden, who suffered a concussion in Week 13, although Jason Campbell has been cleared to return to his position as starter for the team.
