Kiwanuka has an expensive contract and could be cut in the offseason if the Giants decide to keep Justin Tuck.

Graziano's reasoning comes from the fact that the Giants could choose to keep Justin Tuck instead of Kiwanuka. Tuck was considered the leading candidate to get released after this year, but he appears to have turned things around, recording four sacks in last week's win over the Washington Redskins.
Kiwanuka signed a four-year extension worth $21.75 million in 2012. He’s due to make $4.3 million in the 2014 season and would count for $7 million against the salary cap. Through 12 games in 2013, Kiwanuka has recorded four sacks, 24 tackles and a forced fumble. Kiwanuka spent his entire career with the Giants since being a first-round draft pick in 2006.
The Giants are trying to figure out their defensive line position with the season almost over. Besides Kiwanuka and Tuck, they also have injury issues with Jason Pierre-Paul and rookie Damontre Moore has been slow to develop.
