Rob Gronkowski injury: Patriots TE has torn ACL, MCL
New England has lost a big part of its offense with Gronkowski going down for the year.
Gronkowski was injured against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, needing to be carted off the field. The hulking target for Tom Brady only played in seven games after missing the first six of the campaign recovering from back and forearm injuries.
In his limited time this season, Gronkowski caught 39 passes for 592 yards and four touchdowns. Without him, New England is left with a slew of young wide receivers along with Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman.
At 10-3, the Patriots lead the AFC East by three games and currently sit in the AFC’s No. 2 seed. With a win this Sunday, New England would clinch its fifth straight division title.
