Rob Gronkowski injury: Patriots TE has torn ACL, per report

Gronk will reportedly be done for the year after tearing his ACL against the Browns.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's win over the Cleveland Browns, according to FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo. Gronkowski will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm the injury.

If true, this will end Gronkowski's season and give him another lengthy rehab over the offseason. He left the game in the third quarter after taking a vicious hit to the knee from Browns defender T.J. Ward. Gronkowski writhed around on the ground in pain before being carted off to the locker room. The Patriots quickly ruled him out of the game.

It's yet another blow to Gronkowski, who has struggled with injuries all season. He suffered a broken forearm last season and had multiple surgeries on both the forearm and back. He missed all of training camp and didn't make his season debut until Week 8. Tom Brady will be without his most important playmaker for the playoffs again.
