Winslow Townson-USA TODAY SportsOn the ensuing drive, on first-and-10 from the Cleveland 30-yard line, the refs called a dubious pass interference call on the Browns.
The two-point conversion failed, but the damage was done. Cleveland’s upset bid ended thusly, in the most Browns way possible.

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY SportsThe game wasn’t a wintry wonderland like most of the 1 p.m. games, but there were still chilly conditions at Gillette Stadium. Tom Brady had an ugly start to the game, throwing for just 5 yards in the first quarter. This screencap just about sums it up:
Brady threw for 418 yards and two touchdowns in the winning effort. Josh Gordon had another huge game, grabbing seven catches for 151 yards and a touchdown.

Scott HalleranGronkowski caught a pass and went over the middle before a Browns defender upended him, his helmet colliding into Gronkowski’s knee. The tight end collapsed into a heap on the field, clutching his knee while trainers went to check him out. He limped onto a cart and was later taken into the locker room. The Patriots have not given any immediate update on his status.
Before the injury, Gronkowski was having a quiet day, being held to two catches for 32 yards by the Browns defense. He has been struggling with multiple injuries for most of 2013. Gronkowski’s 2012 season ended early when he broke his forearm, which required multiple surgeries to remove infections. He also had back surgery during the offseason and didn’t make his season debut until Week 7.

Jared WickerhamThe third-year running back enjoyed a breakout season in 2012, running for 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns on 290 carries and seemingly taking control of the lead running back position. After fumbling four times and losing two in 2012, however, Ridley’s problems holding onto the ball continued into 2013. Ridley has 576 yards and one touchdown in 10 games this season.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET with coverage on CBS.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY SportsThe good news for Browns fans is the legitimate emergence of Josh Gordon. The speedy wide receiver from Baylor is truly one of the best in the game, and is coming off consecutive 200-yard receiving games, a feat never previously accomplished. Gordon already has 64 receptions, 1,249 yards and seven touchdowns.
Zach J. Miller of Dawgs By Nature writes about the quarterback nightmare in Cleveland:
Read Article >Jason Campbell named Browns’ starter

Jason MillerCampbell has a 1-3 record as the Browns’ full-time starter. That said, he has played reasonably well this season considering he came off the bench as a backup. Through five appearances, he has completed 56.9 percent of his passes at 6.1 yards per attempt, with six touchdown passes to three interceptions.
Head coach Rob Chudzinski was reportedly impressed with Campbell in practice, according to Cabot, saying that Campbell “looks sharp and hasn’t missed a beat.” We’ll see whether Chudzinski’s words were merely coachspeak when the Browns kick off against the 9-3 Patriots at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Bob LeveyAs expected, the betting lines are wildly in favor of the Patriots. The opening lines have New England favored by 10 points, and the line has only moved further in their favor on many sites, according to OddsShark. The Patriots could be favored by as much as 13 points early in the week. It certainly helps that the game is being played at Gillette Stadium.
The over/under for the matchup opened at 45 points. That total has gone over in five of New England’s last seven games, 10 of its last 15 games at home and four of its last five games against the Browns.

Bob LeveySB Nation’s NFL experts weren’t the only ones in agreement. All eight NFL experts at CBS Sports also picked New England to win. Most don’t expect the game to be close either. Of the eight, only two picked the Browns to cover the point spread. John Breech was one of the two who picked the Browns to cover, and he predicted a 30-21 New England victory.
