NFL injuries, Week 14: Maurice Jones-Drew questionable

The Jaguars picked up a win in Week 14, but Maurice Jones-Drew was injured in the process.

Sam Greenwood

It was a rough week for the AFC South with only Jacksonville picking up a win in Week 14. The teams, did, however manage to escape serious injury. Here is a look at the latest injury news from around the AFC South.

Indianapolis:

The Colts will be without reserve running back and kick returner Chris Rainey for the rest of the season after he suffered a broken leg on Sunday. Rainey was placed on injured reserve on Monday and the Colts signed Tashard Choice to take his spot on the roster. The Colts played on Sunday without Greg Toler who remains out with a groin injury.

Jacksonville:

Maurice Jones-Drew suffered a hamstring injury last week and his status for Week 15 is very much in question. Jones-Drew said he hopes he'll be able to return to practice by Friday, but Jaguar beat writer Hays Carlyon described the running back as "very questionable" for the game on Sunday. Jacksonville placed wide receiver Stephen Burton and running back Justin Forsett on injured reserve on Monday, both had been out with injuries.

Houston:

Houston dropped to 2-11 on the season, but managed to make it through the game against Jacksonville relatively healthy. Ben Tate continues to play through rib and ankle injuries. Tight end Owen Daniels practiced last week and could play on Sunday. Daniels has not played since Week 5.

Tennessee:

The Titans receiving corps has taken a hit recently. Tight end Delanie Walker didn't play on Sunday due to a concussion. He is expected to take a concussion test on Tuesday and if he passes, should be able to play on Sunday according to head coach Mike Munchak. Munchak said the wide receiver is playing through ankle and shoulder injuries. Wright played a reduced role on Sunday against Denver.
