Arian Foster has dismissed any speculation that he may undergo heart surgery, saying in a statement: "I have no complications with my blood pumper." Foster's statement came hours after reports said he was likely to need surgery this offseason.

TThe Houston Texans’ running back says he has no plans to undergo heart surgery, contrary to earlier reports.

“Thank you all for the concern. As of now, I have no complications with my blood pumper,” Foster’s statement read. “There was a casual conversation with a reporter about my particular condition that turned public. But I have not, nor do I plan to anytime in the near future, have conversations with my doctors about any surgery. I am feeling well and am as exuberant as ever. Love and light to all those concerned!”
Foster had to leave the Houston Texans' game on December 23 against the Minnesota Vikings with an irregular heartbeat and after the game, head coach Gary Kubiak said the running back had also experienced problems in practice. The heart ablation procedure that was being reported he would undergo helps correct structural problems in the heart that can sometimes be the cause of an irregular heartbeat.
The 26-year-old Foster ran for 1,424 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2012, the third consecutive season he has rushed for at least 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns.
