NFL investigates 2013 Super Bowl crashers

Not everyone at the 2013 Super Bowl paid top dollar to get in.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

A ticket to the Super Bowl will typically cost you a fortune. Thousands of dollars are shelled out just to obtain one seat at the biggest event in all of football. But, some fans would rather hold onto their money and find an easier route into the stands.

Two students from Savannah State University got into the Superdome without paying any money at all, sneaking by security and earning a free trip to see the Baltimore Ravens defeat the San Francisco 49ers. The NFL is now investigating the situation and plans to follow up with proper authorities, according to spokesman Greg Aiello.

The best part of the story is that they filmed the entire process. You can watch the students make the trip to New Orleans, work their way through tunnels, and actually receive help from staff members in their YouTube feature below. Ignore the quality of the camera.

Gatecrashers have been around forever. Remember the couple who snuck into a White House dinner party? The problem here is the students actually captured everything on video, and they plan to follow up with a full-length feature. Roger Goodell will make sure someone pays a fine here.
