George Wilson will visit Titans, Lions, according to report

One of the more productive defensive backs last year , George Wilson is in search of a new home.

Rick Stewart

Safety George Wilson was released by the Buffalo Bills this offseason because of cap reasons, providing one of the top free agents to the 2013 class.

Wilson will be a hot commodity on the market, with the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions first in line to meet with the 31-year-old. Both teams have a need in the secondary, with Detroit needing a defensive back more than any team in the NFL.

Tennessee may have the inside track because its further under the cap than Detroit. Wilson probably has one more sizable contract coming and isn’t likely to leave a penny on the table, even if he believes the Lions are a more win-now team.

Last year, Wilson made 104 tackles to finish second on the Bills. He's also played in all 16 games four of the past five seasons, showing durability.

Wilson is no longer a top-notch player, but would serve as a sizable upgrade to either team. Read more at Music City Miracles.
