Calvin Johnson's accomplishment of breaking the NFL record for most receiving yards in a season during 2012 is impressive enough. That Johnson may have done it with three broken fingers in his hand is even more astonishing.
Calvin Johnson injury: Lions WR reportedly played 2012 season with broken fingers
Johnson broke Jerry Rice’s NFL record for receiving yards in a season and could’ve done it with broken bones in his hand.

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz didn’t categorically deny The Detroit News’ report of Johnson playing with broken fingers but did tell them it’s “not uncommon” for receivers to play with that condition. Johnson played with two broken fingers during the season and has been seen with a wrap on his injured hand. Despite the injury, the near unanimous All-Pro receiver should be ready to go for OTAs this spring and training camp this summer.
Johnson hauled in 122 catches, a career high, for 1,964 yards and caught five touchdowns on the season, averaging 16.1 yards a reception.
