As the 2012 NFL season drew to a close, the rumors of Greg Jennings heading to South Beach continued to pick up steam. Each week it seemed like another report linking the two sides appeared. However, Jennings signing with the Miami Dolphins might not be a match made in heaven after all.

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted that Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin is not a huge fan of Jennings. Miami is clearly desperate for a No. 1 receiving option, but Jennings may not be at the top of their list.
For all the talks of the Dolphins making a serious run at Jennings, signing the 29-year-old wideout is a cloudy situation. Jennings said he was open to joining his former offensive coordinator in Miami earlier this month. Philbin ran the offense in Green Bay for five seasons before taking over the Dolphins.
The Phinsider broke down the potential of Jennings playing with the Dolphins in 2013, noting the relationship he has with Philbin and how nicely he would fit into the West Coast offense. Obviously, injuries throw up a red flag, but the versatile Jennings is a great route runner and he would give Ryan Tannehill a top receiving option.
Green Bay is reportedly considering using a franchise tag on Jennings now. It appears to be a 50-50 decision. The Packers cap space is tight though, so keeping Jennings would create a tough financial situation.
The Dolphins reporters and fans may like the idea of Jennings playing for Miami this season, but Philbin needs to be the one giving the approval here.
